Unlikely Heroes is a North Carolina based music ministry that is catching a lot of people's attention!
This
Christian Blues Band will energize your soul.   A must see act, with smoking-hot blues, wide open keyboards, tasteful lead guitar, soulful bass riffs and driving drums all coming together to extend a
powerful message of hope for the lost or renewing of the Spirit of believers.
  The ultimate goal for
Unlikely Heroes is to use music to capture the attention of the audience for a moment and in that moment
to point them to Jesus Christ!

I was very impressed at the talent and professionalism of Unlikely Heroes. The clean bluesy guitar and the classic Hammond organ sound mixed perfectly with the back beat of the bass and drums. I appreciate the way Unlikely Heroes articulated the love of God and proclaimed the good news of Jesus Christ through their Bible based Christian lyrics. It was a night that the CAFe' Coffeehouse won't soon forget and we hope that you can squeeze us into your busy calendar again asap.

Again, Thank You and May God Bless Unlikely Heroes,
Rob Parker, Event Coordinator for CAFe' Coffeehouse

What’s in the name?

The Rev. Terry Pannell from
Provincetown, MA said it best in a sermon he wrote.  “The gospel reading about the Good Samaritan is more than just a fable about individual moral behavior. It is more than a tale about people doing what is right or wrong in a given situation. It is a story where everyone's humanity is subjected to examination and measured against the standard of compassion. Jesus' parable is a story about being healed and finding life in the midst of death. And what makes this story so memorable even to people who do not read the Bible, is that the parable of the Good Samaritan is about an unlikely hero.”

He finishes by saying, “Being an unlikely hero is not always easy. Perhaps that's why Jesus told the parable in the first place. Maybe it was his way of helping us to find the light of our humanity in the midst of the darkness of fear, mistrust and prejudice. In Jesus, the power of love overcomes all that keeps us from doing the right thing. The kind of love he teaches makes it possible to muster up the courage to venture out into those dark and dangerous places to care for God's people who've been assaulted and abandoned. That same love equips us to practice compassion that leads to healing and new life in community with God. And it does this by awakening us to our common humanity. For you see, love empowers even the most timid to become unlikely heroes.”
Luke 10:25-37

About the band:

The band consists of 4 men compelled to spread God's Word by playing a mix of Texas, Chicago, Memphis and Delta blues and incorporating today's modern worship music.  They play music that comes from the soul that grabs the attention of those listening as they put a positive spin on the lyrics singing of God's Love and Salvation, singing praises to our Holy Father and loving our country.

Unlikely Heroes is the culmination of decades of experience between four men as they preformed in local and regional groups.  Strong men of faith and active in their own church ministries these musicians have life changing testimonies which have brought them to the point of a sharing God’s Love and Message through music.  Unlikely Heroes’ purpose is a simple one and that is to use music to capture the attention of the audience for a moment and in that moment to point them to Jesus Christ!

Unlikely Heroes would enjoy partnering with you to create opportunities and share what God has put in their hearts with your congregation and community.  How can Unlikely Heroes be of service to you?
