Ted Fillhart

Having heard Ted Fillhart in concert on 3 previous occasions (Titusville Family Values Series and the Indian River Festival Christian Artist Day), his on-stage presence, praise and worship songs and energy made him first choice for my Ablaze! Youth Event.

            The event was held at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Titusville, Fl., in conjunction with the Space Coast Circuit Fall Kickoff Youth Conference. Activities of fun, fellowship, and Bible study followed by the “His Word-Our Music” Concert”.

            Ted Fillhart of Ted Fillhart Ministries, Clayton, N.C., took a sanctuary full of a blend of youth and young families on a 2 hour audio-visual spiritual journey.

            What an experience! With his magic fingers on keyboard, a corded microphone in hand, a screen flashing Christian lyrics, the precision, percussion-beat, music building, and his head rising as the volume rose, Ted greeted us. A blend of rock, jazz, high-tech, high energy, electronica arrangements bring the youth to their feet and young adults standing and clapping.

            Throughout the sets, Ted’s rich voice range mixes praise and worship songs and high energy electronica songs with ease. His eye movements and facial expressions reflect the heart of his message. Not only are his songs Bible-based, but Ted prays with the audience as a spiritual hush spreads over the crowd. Giving back to attendees, he offers Ted’s Bible trivia with 3 youth from the audience, Power point word graphics, and a drawing for prizes.

            On this evening, one of my youth, Danielle, came forward, brought 2 girls up with her, took the ‘mic’ from Ted at his invitation and the girls sang a Christian song. You see, I have been working with her to sing with our Praise Band and be comfortable with a microphone and in front of a crowd. And she did it! Praise the Lord! What an amazing testimony to the spirit of expressing their faith through music! And Ted provided the atmosphere for God to make this happen.

            The next Sunday morning, a young lady, (6) sister of a youth, came up with a bandana around her head from the concert singing “You are King of Kings!” from Ted’s new CD, By Faith.  “It’s awesome,” she rocked her head. Another young heart on fire for Christ!

            Reaching out to a wide range of age groups, willing to keep this ministry active and sharing his God-given talents and gifts, Ted provides those blessed to hear him with a message of the Word through music and prayer—a spirit-filled heart by the grace of God.

            We held our groundbreaking on last fall for a new fellowship hall and hope to have Ted Fillhart from Ted Fillhart Ministries to be our first performance/experience on the new stage at our grand opening.

I have thoroughly enjoyed having you as an individual singer as well as The Unlikely Heroes performing for Mount Olive College and the North Carolina Pickle Festival in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
 
Over the years, I have utilized your band and have been extremely pleased. As a Christian college, the message that you share through your ministry of songs and testimonies is inspiring. It is exactly the message that we want our students to hear and live by. Thank you for sharing God’s love with my students. 

As a band, you have been very professional from the time of booking through the actual performance. You are friendly, easy to work with and willing to adapt according to schedule and venue changes. For that, I thank you. 

Finally, I want to personally express my gratitude for the outstanding performance at our recent North Carolina Pickle Festival. Your band was a crowd attention getter and your newfound fans loved you. This proves to me that your band, Unlikely Heroes, is capable of performing at small venues like churches and small colleges and in large venues like festivals.
